About the Event
An art exhibition themed ‘Living in the Blue’ takes inspiration from the vision of the earth from space: a blue planet, where the seas and water maintain the harmony of life. The exhibition takes place in the Church of Santa Caterina in the historic center of Lucca, in which ten artists explore the theme in colour blue in all its chromatic variations and in different visual art techniques.
Colour blue, traditionally associated with harmony, creation and the ideal space for the spiritual connection, capable of inspiring serenity and peace.

About Anna Steinhouse-Kandelaki
Anna Steinhouse-Kandelaki is a London based artist born in Georgia. She has been professionally painting since 2013 after giving up banking career. Since then, she studied at various British art schools including Slade, The Royal Drawing School and the Art Academy, where she graduated with Ba (Hon) in 2017.
At 'Living in the Blue' Anna presents her two original works ‘Immersion’ and 'On the other side', both completed in oil on canvas in year 2023. These paintings form part of Anna's series of recent work titled ‘The First Element’. These are artist's self-portraits in and around water and focus on connection and immersion in nature, where author seems to find her inner peace. Water, as the first and vital element is also a source of energy and emotion.
